Privacy notice
Privacy should match the moment.
Effective August 1, 2026 · Product implementation notice; subject to formal legal review before commercial launch.
1. What this notice covers
This notice covers helpfindfood.com and the Help Find Food product operated by Baldwin Industries. Restaurant public records, private consumer data, merchant records, commerce records, and operational evidence are stored in separate logical boundaries.
2. Search and location
Restaurant and food-support searches use POST requests and no-store responses. If you choose browser location, coordinates are sent for that request and are not placed in the URL. The current search path does not write raw query or precise location to account history. Infrastructure providers may process normal request metadata needed to deliver and secure the service.
3. Optional account
Public search does not require an account. If you request a sign-in link, Supabase processes your email address and session. Account-only features are authorized on the server against the authenticated account.
4. Taste Passport and private choices
Taste Passport preferences—including any allergy, dietary, accessibility, or ingredient details you explicitly save—are encrypted at the field level before database storage. Personalization is off until you enable it. These values are prohibited from Hub responses and analytics.
5. Food-support boundary
Food-support searches are separated from restaurant personalization, advertising, merchant insights, and Hub aggregation. Help Find Food does not present crisis or assistance needs as marketing signals.
6. Merchant and support records
Restaurant claims retain the submitting verified account, the claimed authority, and submitted evidence for review. Support contact details and message content are stored in separate encrypted fields. Authorized operators use these records only to review the request, protect the service, or satisfy legal obligations.
7. Optional analytics
If configured, Help Find Food uses PostHog only after analytics consent. Autocapture and session recording are disabled in this application. Necessary storage records your consent and maintains security or sign-in state. Marketing cookies are not enabled.
8. Service providers
Vercel may host and deliver the application; Supabase may provide authentication; an approved PostgreSQL service stores application records; and PostHog may receive consented product analytics. Provider use depends on the deployed environment and its configured agreements.
9. Retention and deletion
Search responses are not cached. Private records remain until you delete them or their capability-specific expiry applies. Dining rooms and temporary invitations have explicit expiry. Operational and financial evidence may be retained where required for security, disputes, accounting, or law. Account privacy controls can request export or deletion of Help Find Food private data.
10. Your choices and rights
You can decline optional analytics, avoid granting location, keep personalization disabled, correct saved preferences, and request access, correction, export, deletion, or withdrawal of consent. Some requests require identity verification so another person cannot obtain or erase your data.
Contact and privacy requests
Use the secure contact form and choose “Privacy request.” Signed-in users can also use account privacy controls. Do not send emergency or highly sensitive medical information through the form.
